Jammu: Chamber House bid farewell to IPS Mukesh Singh

Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized a function today at Chamber House to bid farewell to Sh. Mukesh Singh, IPS, ADGP on his transfer as IGP ITBP, Government of India.

Sh. Arun Gupta while speaking on the occasion recalled the services rendered by Sh. Mukesh Singh,IPS during his tenure as ADGP Jammu. He said that the people of Jammu will remember him for his polite and determined approach to solve the problems confronting the people of Jammu. During his tenure as ADGP the crime graph in Jammu has considerably come down and only few incidents of militancy and bomb blasts have taken place. During his tenure more than 350 modern rifles, 650 grenades(approx.) and the drugs valuing crores of rupees was captured by the police department

Sh. Arun Gupta further said that Chamber has good rapport and will miss him but we wish him very best wishes and good luck on joining the new assignment.

While speaking on the occasion Sh. Mukesh Singh, IPS said that the activities of the Jammu Chamber were as per the wishes of the Chamber members but the police department has to act as per law and the duties assigned by the government. He also said that we have tried the better relations between Chamber and the police department should prevail. Sometimes the actions of the police department are not visible on the ground but the duty performed by the police department has saved so many precious lives and the incidents which can create chaos in the public.
